The OOAE Division's success is a result of the tireless and unselfish efforts of many members who have contributed their time in the organization of the OMAE Conferences and Symposia, activities and administration of the Division, Conference session organizations, authorship of papers in OMAE Proceedings and Journal of Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering, and in reviewing articles. ASME Fellows:
 
In addition to the awards presented by the OOAE Division, the ASME Board of Governors confers the Fellow grade of membership on worthy candidates to recognize their outstanding engineering achievements. Nominated by their peers, these Fellows have had 10 or more years of active practice and at least 10 years of continuous active membership. Many members of the OOAE Division hold this distinct honor.
